Dear Cleantech colleagues,

Three months ago we presented the 2018 EU Cleantech Forum to a cross-section of industry players at the new Havenhuis. Since then, FCA has held individual meetings with over 45 businesses, asking: 'What contribution could your company make to this key international networking event, which will come to Antwerp for a one-off visit?’ And: how could this international network of investors, corporates, corporate venture funds, cleantech SMEs and many more help you to achieve your objectives? What things would you like to showcase? What options are there for you to increase your visibility?

A blueprint for our programme is slowly but surely emerging from this. A number of companies would like to feature aspects of the bio-based value chain. They illustrate how our region has been putting the circular economy into practice for many years and they have contributed novel concepts around Agro-Industry 4.0  or shown how chemical leasing and process intensification can underpin the transition to a sustainable chemical cluster. You can read about the first programme pillars in our ‘Companies in the spotlight’ section, which we have on this occasion borrowed for this purpose. Are you and your business keen to contribute to these or other topics? Get in touch with us now. Our aim is to have 80% of the programme blueprint ready by the start/beginning of October 2017!

As far as activities on the international stage are concerned, FCA will be a participant in the Royal State Visit to India in November 2017. And together with FIT we will be hunting down opportunities for Flemish cleantech companies during an Investors’ Roadshow that will take us to three Chinese regions. We will also play host to a number of delegations from around the world and take them to see flagship projects.

We will also conclude our newsletter with a major call to action. FCA will be contributing to the international G-STIC conference, which is organised by VITO and will take place in Brussels in October 2017. This event will focus on clean technologies that are helping to accelerate the achievement of the UN Sustainable Development Goals. FCA is offering free passes to the first 25 parties who express their interest in participating in this conference, which will be held at Tour & Taxis from 23 to 25 October 2017 inclusive.  In specific cases, there will also be an opportunity to showcase your technology at one of the stands via FCA. Read on to discover how you can express your interest.

Enjoy reading!
